RATIONALLE WOMEN // SERIES 1 ARIANA GOITIA INTERVIEW @thetropicalista
WHAT INSPIRES YOUR ART Nature is my biggest inspiration, it is the ultimate blueprint and its creator, whoever she may be, made the most divine masterpiece :)
WHO DO YOU LOOK UP TO I love a quote by Nina Simone "You can't help it. An artist's duty, as far as I'm concerned, is to reflect the times.” I look up to artists and activists who have and are pushing important conversations in our culture and society.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOUR WORK GOING IN THE NEXT DECADE OR SO Going off of the previous question, I think I would like to make more impact in my community, and a community that is not necessarily the traditional modern art world. Since the pandemic I have connected with so many amazing makers from around the world who are building small businesses and sharing their work. I am proud to be a part of this movement and want to advocate for higher accessibility and visibility for creatives everywhere.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR FELLOW CREATIVES Patience, discipline and try not to compare yourselves to others in your journey, social media is a trap!
